IP Gateway

It has routing functionality and can be used as a fast trunk to forward message control signals through the local area network (IP) between different branch lines. The device can also be used as a programming interface, allowing a PC to be connected to the KNX bus (for example, using a suitable ETS for ETS programming). An IP address can be dynamically allocated through a DHCP server or manually configured (ETS parameters). The device operates according to the KNXnet/IP specifications using the Core, device management, tunnels, and routing functions. The KNX/IP router can forward message control signals in both directions and has a KNXnet/IP protocol interface, which can connect a PC to the KNX bus for ETS software connection for message monitoring or product application download. It can also be used in accordance with the KNXnet/IP specifications for interfacing with third-party IP devices, such as upper-level software.
